Daniel Lousley (Uncle) Daniel Lousley Charlotte’s elder brother, Daniel (‘Uncle Daniel’), appears from time to time in the letters.  He had not shown much enthusiasm for Henry’s expedition to Australia.  Coming back from Wallingford one winter’s day he and his team find the snow too much for them and their load of timber.  He had six children, four of whom made interesting marriages, both sons and daughters.
