with children 5 and under
These activities occur each month.
La Leche League of St. Joseph
Pregnant and breastfeeding mothers are invited to the meeting at 9:30 a.m.
at the Wyatt Park Christian Church. Meetings held every month on the third

Mom's Time
A sharing, support, and educational group for women with young children.
Meetings held on Mondays and Tuesdays 6:30-8:30 p.m. and Fridays 9:30 a.m.
- 12:30 p.m. at the YWCA of St. Joseph, 304 N. 8th Street. Childcare, snacks,

Signing With Your Baby
Are you interested in signing with your baby? Come meet with parents who
are signing with their babies and those who want to learn more. Meetings are
held at 10 a.m., usually the first and third Saturday of every month. The
focus of the meetings will be getting started signing, sharing experiences,
supporting others, and other signing activities. Keatley Center, 1202 S. 28th

Free programs for parents with children 5 and under
Parents As Teachers
Parents As Teachers, which is a part of the St. Joseph School District,
is a free program available to all parents within the school district who
have children ages birth to 5 (not yet in kindergarden). This excellent program
offers one-on-one parent education in the home several times a year, and also
offers monthly playgroups geared toward your child's age group as well as

Early Head Start
Early Head Start is an early intervention program for children aged birth
to three. It is a free service, but there are income restrictions. This program
offers weekly home visits, and after 18 months, it offers the choice of center-based
