Internationals

International students are very welcome in the Christian Union. Many of the people within the CU have lived in countries ranging from Belgium to India and the Philippines to Alaska and therefore understand the challenges that International Students face in a strange country or environment!!

We aim to help and support International Students in any way we can and the CU will be running various activities throughout the year, some of which will be specifically aimed at International Students. Other events are open to all, providing an opportunity to mix with others in a relaxed environment where friendships can be built and horizons broadened!

This term specific International events include:

The Mustard Seed - this is a coffee bar for International Students which provides a friendly atmosphere and a chance to practice your English! If you'd like to come along, we meet at 19.00 every Monday evening in front of the Fountains Learning Centre.

The Visa Course - do you want to find out more about God and Christianity, the dominant Western religion? This is your chance! The 'Visa Course' is a ten-week course in which we'll be looking at all the different things Christians believe. Refreshments will be provided and we have both English and Chinese Bibles avalaible! The course will start on Sunday 5th October at 16.30 in the Chapel.

Also, if you'd like to be 'paired up' with a British Student, please let me know. This is a really good way of getting to know people from England and to practice your English!!

If you have any questions, please get in touch :)
