Old Salem is one the most
authentic living history towns, offering unique learning
experiences for children and adults. See costumed staff
carry out daily activites and detailed trade of the
German-speaking Morovians from the late 1700's to early
1800's.
Old Salem provides a great
learning experience. There is a children's museum for a
hands on experience for children 4-9 and their
parents.Children can dress up in period costumes and take part
in games and activities.
In Old Salem you can take
part in a tour and visit exhibit buildings. Costumed
interpreters will greet you and give you insight to life in
the 1700's-1800's. Students can see different trades like
woodworking, pottery, and shoemaking, as well as daily
activities such as laundry, cooking, and sewing.
