Whitney : "Ow," I muttered as I stumbled up the steps, one black strappy sandle in hand. I had no clue where the other one was. "Nikki!" I exclaimed as I reached the top of the stairs into the living room to look there.
"Whaaaaaat?" she cried. I rolled my eyes.
"Where's my other shoe?" I yelled down the stairs in her direction.
"How should I know? Its your shoes, isn't it?" Nikki replied.
"Thanks Nik, lots of help," I said as I turned over cushions in chairs in case, you know, I misplaced my shoe
there.

Nikki : Whitney, Whitney Whitney, I thought as I sighed. I was sitting in my room in front of the vanity applying my eyeliner. I heard something fall. "Crap!" Whitney exclaimed/ I shook my head and went back to fixing myself up. I still don't know how Cassie got both Whitney and I to agree to blind dates. Let alone blind double dates. She was crazy. I wasn't so sure Whitney could get herself ready in time. I laughed to myself. She burst into the room with still only one black shoe. "Where's my eyeliner?" she exclaimed. I held mine out to her. "That's not mine," she said as she examined it.
"I know, but you'll never find yours, so that'll have to do," I told her as I got up. She took my place and began to apply the eyeliner. I went into the bathroom, laughing. I heard the doorbell.
"Nikki, the doorbell rang," shouted Whitney.
"Go answer it!" I exclaimed. I heard Whitney grumble something and get up.

Abs : I stood outside on the porch. I reached over and rang the doorbell again. I sure hoped this was the right place. I stepped back and looked up at the house. The window to the left of the door had a light on inside, so I assumed they were home. What was I getting myself into? I didn't even know what this girl looked like, acted like, anything. Cassie wouldn't tell me anything. I heard footsteps coming toward the door and I ran my hand over my short, buzzed hair, just to make sure a freaky piece of hair didn't suddenly grow or anything.

Whitney : "It better not be that stupid milkman again," I muttered under my breath. "He doesn't get the meaning of no." I kicked a stray cardboard box that landed in the hallway when I was going crazy looking for my shoe. Speaking of my shoe...I still haven't found it. I stepped on something sharp and winced. I half-hopped to the door and flung it open. There stood a young man with very short hair, baggy pants, and a jacket over a nice shirt. He was very good looking, and left me speechl;ess. Wow, that's a first.

Abs : I was kind of startled when a short, brown-haired girl opened the door. I was beginning to think they weren't even home, or I came to the wrong place. She didn't say anything, so I quickly looked her over. She was cute, medium built. She had very light blonde highlights streaking through her hair. I guessed I had better say something before she though...something. "Um, Nikki?" was the first thing that came to my mouth. She looked away and shook herself out of whatever rut she was in.
"Oh, no," she blushed. "She's, uh, inside."
"Oh," I said, a bit disappointed.
"Come in," she opened the door and stepped aside. I walked in. The hallways was very cluttered, boxes and clothing thrown everywhere. "Don't mind the mess," she nervously laughed, picking up everything in our path. I just kind of smiled as I watched her. Get your mind off her, Abs, I told myself. You're not with her tonight.

Whitney : I nervously picked up the trash that laid in the hallway. Cassie knew I digged guys with dark hair. Why would she send him first? And to Nikki? I had to shake myself out of it, I had a whole nother date coming for me soon. "Nikki!" I exclaimed. "You're, um, date is here," i said, realizing I didn't know his name.
"Abs," he said, picking up a box I had dropped. I took it from him.
"Excuse me?" I asked as I took the box from him and dropped everything I had in my arms over the banister. I'd deal with it later.
   "My name's Abs," he replied.
"Like, seriously?" I turned to him.
"Well, my real name is Richard, but my friends call me Abs which is a shorter version of my middle name, Abidin."
"Oh," I said, looking quickly down then back up at him. "I didn't mean to pry."
   "Nah, its alright," he smiled.

Nikki : I clasped my earring as I headed down one flight of stairs toward the living room. I almost tripped over a clunky black thing in my path. I stopped and picked it up. It was Whitney's shoe. I laughed to myself and entered the living room where I found Whitney and my date talking and waiting for me I imagine. I smiled hello and they stopped talking and turned toward me. "Here," I said, tossing the shoe I had in my hand to Whitney. "Found it."
"Thanks," she beamed, catching it. "I gotta go finish getting ready. I'll see you guys at the restaraunt in a bit." She bounded up the stairs toward the her room.
