| Chapter Two |
| Nikki : Abs was quite the gentleman. When Whitney left he introduced himself and explained why his name was Abs, and no it had nothing to do with his stomach muscles. He opened the door for me and we walked out together. He opened the passenger side door on his sporty red car and I climbed in. He walked around the car and got in. He smiled at me and we took off. Whitney : Now that I had my other shoe on, I was ready. I glanced at my reflection in the mirror and tugged at the bottom of my shirt. I sat on the steps and waited for my date to arrive. I propped my head up by my arm and strummed my fingers on my cheek. I glanced at my backwards-turned watch on my left arm. A few minutes late, that's acceptable. I wondered if Nikki was hitting it off well with Abs. I was rather anxious to see who I was going with. Ritchie : I sped up as I reached Brown Street. I couldn't believe I was this late. Sure, it was easy for Abs to get ready. Me? It took time. I pulled up in front of the house and got out. I stepped on the porch and rang the doorbell and stood back to look at my surroundings. Whitney : I looked up as the doorbell rang. I stood up, smoothed out my skirt, took a deep breath, and headed down the stairs. I opened the door and the brightest blue eyes I had ever seen met my light hazel ones. Once again, I was speechless. What was with me today? Ritchie : She looked a bit suprised to see me. I smiled at her. "I assume you're Whitney," I said, breaking the silence. She nodded. I held out my hand. "Ritchie." She shook it and smiled back. "Nice to meet you," she replied. "So, are you ready?" I said, pointing at my car. She nodded and shut the door behind her. |
