| Chapter Twelve Whitney: "Hey," I whispered, looking over at Abs. "Hey," he smiled. I leaned over and kissed him. "I better get up." he told me. I nodded. "Yeah, good idea. We have to be in the studio in an hour," I yawned, sitting up. Abs got out of bed, in his boxers, and walked around to my side. He stopped and kissed me again. "What was that for?" I smiled. He shrugged a bit. "Just seemed right," he replied before heading to the bathroom. Moments later I heard the shower turn on. I forced myself to get up. I grabbed one of Dom's old shirts and put it on and walked out into the living room. I opened the door for Sam which he happily ran out. I flipped on the coffee maker. As it was churning I took a few delecate steps toward the lone banister I had set up in the room. I put my hand on it and bent up and down, suddenly in the mood for ballet. I did a few turns and piroettes before I realized I was being watched. I stopped and turned. Abs was standing there with a smile on his face. He clapped a bit. I felt my face go hot. "You look so good when you dance," he said coming toward me. "Ditto," I whispered, wrapping my arms around him. Scott: I gingerly held Teresa's hand as we wated in the studio. I smiled at her as she looked up at me. The door opened and closed a few times and I dropped her hand slowly as the last remaning people straggled in. Whitney laughed at something Abs was saying at her and everyone just kind of gave it a quick look. "Uh, excuse me everyone," I said, stepping away from Teresa. No one looked over. "Excuse me!" I said, a bit louder. I grabbed one of the folding chairs and stepped up on it. "HEY!" I yelled. Everyone stopped and looked over at me. "Thank you," I smiled. "I just wanted to make a quick announcement before warm-ups. I just wanted to say that Teresa and I are officially together. So, yup. Thanks." I kind of nodded my head a bit. Teresa looked away, trying not to laugh. Everyone just started blankly at me. "Mate, gett off the chair," Ritchie mumbled, walking past me. Nikki and Amanda groanded loudly then glared at each other. Sheesh, tough crowd. Ritchie: I rubbed at my tired eyes. I hadn't slept a wink last night, kicking myself over and over for being a player and getting caught. I didn't realize how good I had it with Nikki. Or Amanda. You couldn't have just stayed with one, could ya? I asked myself. Had to go and risk it all. Well good job, buddy, you're hated by 2/5 of these dancers. "All right, folks, unless someone else has a, ahem, announcement to make, let's get started," Whitney instructed us. We shuffled around, getting into first position. "I'm sorry," I whispered to Nikki as Whitney reached to turn on the music. "Go to hell," was all she mumbled. I silently groaned. I guess I deserved that. "Five six seven eight," Whitney counted off as we went. "Good. Ritchie watch that second step. Sean arm up. J, head up, watch the mirror. Good, good." Suddenly the door pushed open. We stopped simultaneously and looked over. A tanner, and suprisingly apeearing more-fit Dom walked through the door. Whitney flipped off the music. We all kind of stared, no one knowing what to say. "D-dom," Whitney squeaked. Chapter Thirteen... |
