Chapter Six

Whitney: I laid on the simple couch in our loft apartment with Sam laying on my belly as I watched TV. Jerry Springer was on and the subject of today's show was, "My baby's daddy ain't your baby's daddy!" It was pathetic how people could act sometimes, I swear. A very large woman came racing out of the green room in tear, fists flying toward her "baby's daddy" and the muscular body guard stepped up on the stage and broek them up. Quite a sight as the people in the audience chanting the infamous "Jerry, Jerry, Jerry..."
I scratched Sam behind the ears as he shut his eyes to fall asleep. He was getting bigger everyday and I was falling in love with him. Suddenly, Dom rushed in the living room. Sam's ears perked up and his eyes opened. I muted the TV.
"Dom, what are you doing?" I asked, watching him pick things up and take them back and forth between our room and the living room.
"I have to go," he said when he walked back in.
   "Go? Go where?" I asked.
"I have to go to Italy. They have a huge dance studio there and apparently there's some star dancer I was asked to come check out. My flight leaves in half an hour." he quickly explained. I gently took Sam off my stomach and laid him on the couch as I sat up.
"But Dom, you can't leave!" I exclaimed, standing. "What about Five? They need the rehersal and you're not going to be there!"
"I've already concidered it!" he shouted from our room.
"Oh, god, don't tell me you're putting Antonio in charge of them, I swear if you do, I'll quit," I said, joining him in the room where he was packing. Antonio had been an experimental dance instructor we had used one time. The result? Mass destruction and phrases like, "feel free" and "dancing is like wind of no tomorrow" were used.
"No, god no," Dom gave me a look. I let out a sigh of relief. "You're going to instruct them." My mouth dropped.
   "
What?!" I shouted.
"You'll do fine," he replies, zipping up the suitcase and grabbing it off the bed. "Bye. Oh, break a leg." He kissed me quickly on the cheek and left.

Nikki: I walked in he Studio and dropped my bag off my shoulder onto the hard wood floor. Ritchie walked in by himself, looking a bit tired. "Hey," I called to him from across the studio. He looked up at me. A smile crossed his face.
"Hey, Nik," he said, approaching me. "Why are ya here so early?"
"Wanted to check out the scenery," I shrugged, starting to stretch.
"How's it look?" he wondered, crossing his arms in front of him. I looked around the studio and then back at him.
"Really nice, if I do say so myself," I said, dropping my arms to my sides.
"That's what I was thinking," he replied, stepping toward me. I smiled, taking a step forward.
"Oh yeah?" I asked. He smiled a bit and nodded.
"Yeah," he replied. We stood there for a second before he leaned in and kissed me. I greatfully kissed him back, wrapping my arms around his neck. We kissed for a few more minutes until we heard the door opn then I broke away from him, out of breath. Whitney was walking in.
"Well, that's the last time I go on a pre-practice jog with you again," Ritchie covered, beginning to breathe steadily again. Whitney just gave us a weird look as the rest of the lads started to come through the door.
