The Summer Horse Program at the Strain Family Equestrian Center is open to students and non-students alike. We run 6 one week sessions from 9:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. Monday-Friday. Class size is limited to 10 riders per week. There are sessions for beginner and advanced riders as well as arts and crafts activities with each session ending with a horse show and pizza party.

The cost for the Summer Horse Program 2009 is $250.00 per session.
A $150.00 non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your spot.

Summer Horse Program 2009
Week 1 - July 6 - 10 • Beginners Week • 9:00 am - 2:00 pm
Week 2 - July 13 - 17 • Beginner/Intermediate Week • 9:00 am - 2:00 pm
Week 3 - July 20 - 24 • Beginner/Intermediate Week • 9:00 am - 2:00 pm
Week 4 - July 27 - 31 • Beginners Week • 9:00 am - 2:00 pm
Week 5 - August 3 - 7 • Beginner/Intermediate Week • 9:00 am - 2:00 pm
Week 6 - August 10 - 14 • Intermediate/Advanced Week • 9:00 am - 2:00 pm
Beginner: For children 5 years old and older with no horse experience. Basic horse care and maintenance, equipment identification, arts and crafts. A one hour group riding lesson will be taught every day. Session ends with a Horse Show and pizza party.
Beginner/Intermediate: For children 6 years and older with some horse experience. Basic horse care and maintenance, equipment identification, arts and crafts. A one hour group riding lesson will be taught every day. Session ends with a Horse Show and pizza party.
*Intermediate/ Advanced: For children 8 years old and older who possess the skills to handle a horse at a walk, trot and canter. Each child is assigned their own horse for the week. Arts and crafts and a one hour group riding lesson each day. Session ends with a horse show and a pizza party.
* If signing up for the Intermediate/Advanced week, you must come for one riding lesson, so that you can be evaluated.
