The photo on the right seems tailor-made for this website. In this single image, we see time rolling before our eyes: We have the past, present and future. Before the Twin Towers were built, the Empire State Building was the tallest structure in New York. This picture shows that famous skyscraper just minutes before regaining the lofty position.
We see the Twin Towers and aftereffects of the attack. The large mushroom-shaped cloud was caused by the intense explosion of the second hijacked jet slamming into the South Tower. We see what was, what is, and we know that the towers will soon crash thunderously to the ground.
In this photo we see the building known as 7 World Trade Center blocking our view of the lower 47 floors of the Twin Towers. A few hours after the Twins crumbled, 7 WTC followed suit.
The camera angle of this photo allows us to imagine the mysterious object streaking through the billowing clouds toward 7 WTC..
Unfortunately, as much as the photo shows us, it doesn't answer any questions about the unknown object.

However, the streaking object is NOT a high flying bird, a speck of dust on the camera lens, part of the hijacked jet, nor is it building debris. Some may suspect that the video was doctored: Foxnews and Gamma Press, which supplied the video to Foxnews, would not be guilty of perpetrating a hoax on every American citizen, and indeed, on people in other countries as well. To think that Gamma Press and/or Foxnews did this as a gag or publicity stunt while they and the rest of the nation sat stunned by the horrific misery inflicted on thousands is absurd. And, there’s an object - the dot - in other videos. The Foxnews video was not faked. Something streaked across the sky. The ONLY questions are: What was it and who did it?
A POSSIBLE SCENARIO:
It could have been a missile. It’s possible that United States jets attempted to down the plane before it struck the South Tower. Air traffic controllers aren't stupid: Planes have flight paths and when a plane deviates from that path and makes a sharp right turn, controllers notice. When a plane takes that turn and then smashes into the Trade Center, it does more than raise a few eyebrows. When 3 more planes are behaving erratically, it's a pretty good clue that something is amiss.
When the first jet struck the tower, most people thought that it may have been a terrible accident. It was only when the second tower was hit 15 minutes later that it was clearly no accident. But those were the thoughts of newscasters and eyewitnesses. Consider the air traffic controllers who saw or heard of the four planes making crazy turns well before the crashes. They knew something was wrong and alerted the FAA. The FAA notified NORAD (North American Aerospace Defense Command which monitors the skies over the United States and Canada) at 8:40 AM and 8:43 that Flight 11 and Flight 175 had been hijacked. That's what we pay those guys to do: Be paranoid and prepare for the worst case scenarios. Those people have contingency plans.
With prior notification of strange happenings in the air, a fighter jet is scrambled. Those things can fly at 1,500 mph - Mach 2. At 8:48 AM, the North Tower is struck by Flight 11. The second jet, Flight 175, is on NORAD's radar. There's a decision to be made: Take out the airliner, killing all aboard and raining plane and body parts on Manhattan? --- Or letting the plane crash into a tower which would kill all aboard – in addition to many occupants of the building – with body parts, jet parts AND building parts raining on Manhattan?
U.S. officials have said the fourth hijacked plane (that crashed in Pennsylvania) would have been shot down if it had approached Washington, DC., according to William Saletan, columnist for Slate.com. [11-9-2001]. Taking out the second passenger jet before it struck the Tower would have saved thousands of lives - and billions of dollars in property damage, not to mention the vast ripple effects.. So, it's possible that the people we pay to protect our airspace made a vain attempt to save thousands of lives but were a few seconds too late. Since the effort was unsuccessful, the attempt was not publicized. Maybe the missile that missed the plane struck 7 Trade Center instead, amplifying the desire for secrecy. Architechural engineers are baffled as to why 7 WTC crumbled, saying that the debris from the tumbling towers would not have caused it to collapse, nor would the fire.
