Coach
John Thompson took care of Iverson who needed a protective
coach who could give him advice. After two great years at
Georgetown, Allen left "dad" and announced himself eligable
for the NBA draft. He probably did this to get his family
out of the projects before it was too late. Iverson says:
"If I can leave this planet knowing that my friends and family
are alright, that's good enough for me. That's all I need
to know." The rest of the story remains to be seen. -----

Allen
Iverson's rookie season was an infamous one, he accomplished
a lot shit in his first year in the big league.
Iverson finished his rookie season averaging 23.5 points (6th
in the league), 7.5 assists(11th), 40.1 minutes (8th), and
2.1 steals (7th). Except for Stephon Marbury(who was 10th
in assists with 7.8), he led all rookies in all of those categories.
He also averaged 4.1 rebounds, 1.5 on the offensive end. He
shot 42% from the field, 34% from 3-point range, and 70% from
the free-throwline. His 155 3-pointers made, ranked him 17th
in the league.

Iverson's
second season saw a large improvement in his game. He cut down
his turnovers and shot the ball better(46.1 FG% ). His team
won 8 more games than his rookie season. Philly finished the
season 31-51, their best ever in the last 6 seasons. Allen finished
the season 8th in scoring (22.0), 16th in assists (6.2), fifth
in steals (2.20) and 11th in minute (39.4). Iverson also received

- Iverson's 3rd season in the big league - |
Season
still in progress..(just started). Allen Iverson, with his improvement
on assists gave Philly a head start. They had won 10 in a row
before losing their first game.
His coach, and te team saw an improvment in Allen, as he was
coming to every training sessions, and was even in the weights
room, and trying alot harder on-court, as well as off-court!
His team-mates even saw an improvement, and tell Iverson about
it, but Iverson dosen't want to hear about it.
This season is still in progress, so I will put up the latest
as it comes out..........
