Nine woods in the Cauldron go --
burn them quick & burn them slow.

Elder be ye Lady's tree ---
burn it not or cursed ye'll be.

When they Wheel begins to turn --
let the Beltane fires burn.

When the Wheel has turned a Yule,
Light the Log & let Pan rule.

Heed ye flower, bush & tree --
by the Lady blessed be.

Where the rippling waters go,
cast a stone an truth ye'll know.

When ye have need,
harken not to other's greed.

With the fool no season spend
or be counted as his friend.

Merry Meet an' Merry Part --
bright the cheeks an' warm the heart.

Mind the Threefold Law ye should ---
three times bad and three times good.

When misfortune is enow,
wear the blue star on thy brow.

True in love ever be
unless they lover's false to thee.

Eight words the Wiccan Rede fulfill--
an it harm none, do what ye will.

Bide the Wiccan laws ye must
in perfect love & perfect trust.

Live & let live --
fairly take & fairly give.

Cast the Circle thrice about
to keep all evil spirits out.

To bind the spell every time,
let the spell be spake in rhyme.

Soft of eye & light of touch --
speak little, listen much.

Deosil go by the waxing Moon --
sing & dance the Wiccan rune.

Widdershins go when the Moon doth wane,
& the WereWolf howls by the dread Wolfsbane.

When the Lady's Moon is new,
kiss the hand to her times two.

When the Moon rides at her peak,
then your heart's desire seek.

Heed the Northwind's mighty gale --
lock the door & drop the sail.

When the wind comes from the South,
love will kiss thee on the mouth.

When the wind blows from the East,
expect the new & set the feast.

When the West wind blows o'er thee,
departed spirits restless be.

                                         Witches Creed

                                                                                                            originally created by Doreen Valiente

Hear now the words of the Witches,
The secrets we hid in the night,
When dark was our destiny's pathway,
That now we bring forth into the light.
Mysterious water and fire,
The earth and wide-ranging air.
By hidden quintessence we know them,
And will and keep silent and dare.

The birth and rebirth of all nature,
The passing of winter and spring,
We share with the life universal,
Rejoice in the magical ring.
Four times in the year the Great Sabbat Returns,
And the witches are seen,
At Lammas and Candlemas dancing,
On May Even and old Hallowe'en

When day-time and night-time are equal,
When sun is at greatest and least,
The four Lesser Sabbats are summoned,
Again witches gather in feast.
Thirteen silver moons in a year are,
Thirteen is coven's array,
Thirteen times at Esbat make merry,
For each golden year and a day.

The power was passed down the ages,
Each time between woman and man,
Each century onto the other,
Ere time and ages began.

When drawn is the magical circle,
By sword or athame or power,
Its compass between the two worlds lies,
In Land of the Shades for that hour.
This world has no right then to know it,
And world of beyond will tell naught,
The oldest of Gods are invoked there,
The Great Work of magic is wrought.

                                        Spells, Rituals & Ceremonies

Spells

Abracadabra? Hocus Pocus? Sure in the movies they work great, but life isn't about isn't the movies. If you are looking for specific spells, sorry but you have come to the wrong place.
If you are familiar with creating spells you will notice that are rhyming. Why do we do this? Well, you will discover many different opinions on that. My opinion is so that we really must consider what we are doing & exactly what we want accomplished from the spell.
Spell crafting or casting is not an easy task there are different areas where you have to prepare yourself. Mentally, emotionally ... and even your surroundings. Mentally you have to be focused on the task at hand. Emotionally you cannot be unfocused, & you need to remain calm. Your surroundings ... a place where you won't be interrupted, with out a lot of distractions.
You will find that there are different Rituals to you can perform before casting. To ensure that you are truly ready, or to prepare your body, mind or items. Sometimes a Ceremony can be use in magic as well.
Just remember not all Pagans are Witches. There are many who do not practice Spells, as it is not the path they choose to walk.

Ceremonies

Ceremonies ... They can be simple to extravagant. Depending on you. Again, if you are not comfortable with what you are doing, then the negative energy from that will flow into what you are doing.
Many have Ceremonies for a variety of reasons, I choose to keep my basic. I have Ceremonies for special occasions & Sabbaths. I tend to keep mine very simple. I do not have the flare that I have seen in many, but that is good because it makes the ceremony that I perform unique to me.
As I am a solitary I do not generally perform ceremonies with others. BUT group ceremonies are common.
Choosing between a coven or solitary ceremony really depends on the individual. There may be times when feel you should participate as part of the group, or times when you are pulled to have a ceremony alone.

You will find some sites listed on Pagan Stores & Links that will give you better ideas of which is more acceptable for you. You will also find sites that will give you ideas for Ceremonies.

Rituals

Rituals are a part of our every day lives. Whether you are Pagan, Christian, Jewish, or which ever path you walk. Rituals can be how we get ready each morning, how we unwind
each night, how we prepare ourselves for a pending task.
For Pagans, rituals are very important. They are used to prepare our surroundings before a Ceremony, Spell casting. They are used to consecrate the tools that we used. They are used to prepare our minds & bodies for the
upcoming task.
Do the rituals have to performed exactly as stated? I don't believe so. I believe that we each must do what we are comfortable with. If you are not comfortable with what you are doing,
then it will fail. Regardless of what the ritual is to accomplish, if you are not comfortable those suggestions, those negative energies will flow through you as well and into what  you are doing that day or event.

For two are the mystical pilars,
That stand at the great of the shrine,
And two are the powers of nature,
The forms and the forces divine.

The dark and the light in succession,
The opposites each unto each,
Shown forth as a God and a Goddess:
Of this did our ancestors teach.

By night he's the wild wind's rider,
The Horn'd One, the Lord of the Shades.
By day he's the King of the Woodland,
The dweller in green forest glades.

She is youthful and old as she pleases,
She sails the torn clouds in her barque,
The bright silver Lady of midnight,
The Crone who weaves spells in the dark

The master and mistress of magic;
They dwell in the deeps of the mind,
Immortal and ever-renewing,
With power to free or bind.

So drink the good wine of the old Gods,
And dance and make love in their praise,
Till Elphame's fair land shall receive us,
In peace at the end of our days.

And Do What You Will be the challenge,
So be it in love that harms none,
For this is the only commandment.
By magic of old be it done!
