Last season was spent, as always, scuffling around the lower reaches of division 7. Despite intensive pre-season warm weather training in the fleshpots of Algeciras and Gibralter the mighty Morton cricket machine failed to cough into arthritic gear and the club had to be content simply to avoid being caught up in a relegation struggle. Our experienced (or should that be geriatric?) coaching team has been working tirelessly through the winter, analysing faults, dissecting weaknesses in performance and justifying their own selection - everything just as it should be then. After many decades of dedicated labour our skeletal spiritual leader (The Dodd) has given up the ghost and resigned the captaincy to enjoy his longed for retirement. Tune into the Latest News section to see what else has been happening.
