The Algarve's eastern congregation worships at the Anglican church of St. Luke's at Monte Palhageira Retirement Village. This church was built by the owner of the Retirement Village. It is a beautifully appointed church, built in the round on the site of a Portuguese threshing floor. It has many attractive features and a mature and peaceful ambience that belies its recent construction. The congregation tends to have an older age profile and the average Sunday attendance numbers around 40, although on special occasions, these often exceed 100. The nearby village hall is available to the church where people meet for coffee and fellowship after the service.
