the apartments

Situated in an acre and a half garden, this hideaway has a magnificent view over the Atlantic Ocean and the islands of Mustique, Bequia and Canouan. The location is very tranquil. Apartments sleep 2- 4 people and have a wheel-in shower, shower chair and toilet. These apartments are not remodels, but were originally designed to be accessible. You will appreciate the difference. They are fully wheelchair accessible.

They also have air conditioning, television, stereo, games, microwave and conventional cooker, washing machine and a fully fitted and equipped kitchen. Access to the apartments from the garden is flat and car parking is just 20 metres from the front door. The apartments are available all year round at the same price.

A portable electric-powered hoist is available with a variety of slings. Hoist available to use free of charge. The electricity supply is 240V and the sockets are the British 3 pin type. 110v is available too if you need to use some special equipment that uses 110v. Towels and bed linen are supplied. Each apartment is cleaned and prepared before guest arrived with complimentary bouquet of flowers and food items for your first day. Smoking is not permitted in the apartments.
The apartments have tiled floors in all the rooms which makes wheeling around easy. The bedrooms are airy and have a lot of natural light streaming in. They have en-suite bathroom facilities too. Mosquito nets are available if ever required.

The bathrooms have wheel-in showers and one has the choice of using a shower chair or a shower seat that is fixed to the wall and folds out. Hand rails and grab rails are fitted in the shower and toilet areas.
Someone is available on site for contact at all times. In the gardens too is a wheelchair accessible roof-top chillout gazebo with an excellcent view of the Atlantic Ocean, Mustique and Bequia. Be as lazy as a dog and enjoy your meals or a good book shaded under the bar's thatched roof.

Therapeutic Caribbean sea-bath

The beach nearby is accessible and has really calm water. It is possible to use it as a therapeutic sea-bath. I can tell you that when you sit all day as I do, going in to the sea is so relaxing and invigorating. You will be able to get into the sea with the help of 2 experienced people - if assistance is required – who are trained in care and first aid. You can enjoy the therapeutic sea bath and do assisted walking using flotation aids and sea buoyancy aids. One guest from England who is a wheelchair user said, ‘I had not been in the sea for decades, because of lack of facilities. It was wonderful to be able to stretch my legs again and exercise my muscles - the feeling was undescribable’.

You will be perfectly located at about 4 miles from the airport, 2 miles from an accessible beach with calm and clear water, 1.5 miles from restaurants, hotels and a yacht marina, 0.5 miles from a supermarket, and 6 miles from the enchanting capital, Kingstown.
