What is hypnosis ?

Hypnosis is a state of deep relaxation when the body and conscious mind are at rest. The sub-conscious mind however reaches a heightened state of awareness. It is when the sub-conscious mind is in this state and therefore open to suggestion that beneficial changes can be made; life enhancing changes.

Natural hypnosis, for example day-dreaming or listening to music, happens to everyone many times a day.  Self-hypnosis is simply intended hypnosis, when we have the intention to enter an altered state.

What does it feel like to be in hypnosis ?

The feeling of being in hypnosis is similar to the feeling of being on the edge of natural sleep.  You are extremely relaxed, however you are aware of  everything going on around you.  You remain in complete control.

Is self-hypnosis safe?

Yes!  To be in hypnosis means that you are accessing your sub-conscious mind, which is naturally very protective of you.  Your sub-conscious mind will not allow you to do anything against your natural instincts.
