Vin Diesel popped up on the silver screen, appearing as the escaped convict on the sci-fi thriller, Pitch Black, which added to his list of many outstanding performances. Diesel also appeared on the highly anticipated blockbuster hit, Saving Private Ryan. At the age of 26, Multi-Facial , an independent movie he had written, produced, directed and starred, went in to be shown at the Sundance Film Festival. After Multi-Facial he went on to make Strays, which was also entered in the Sundance Film Festival in 1997. The director of Saving Private Ryan, had seen Vin's films and contacted him, offering a part he had especially made for Vin Diesel. Steven Speilberg and the cast of Saving Private Ryan had made a unforgettable movie that won the actor's and actresses a SAG award nomination for Outstanding Performance By A Cast.He was also offered a part as the voice for the Giant in the cartoon film,The Iron Giant .His latest movie is the race car thriller, The Fast And The Furious, co-starring Paul Walker, Michelle Rodriquez, Jordana Brewster, and new comer Ja Rule. Right now he is working on a couple new movies, one of which is Knockaround Guys.
