HOW TO RECOGNIZE A HIGH QUALITY SCARF (some advice)

Look at the border.  Scarves with borders all around require very expensive and high technology looms to produce them.  The patterns should be cut along the borders but be full designs.  Large patterns or just one big scene are more valuable and more difficult to produce.

Count the colors.  Different shades of the same color should be counted separately.  In high quality printing the colors are hand printed one by one; the more colors there are, the more valuable the design and printing.  A high quality scarf typically has at least 9/10 colors.  Tiny patterns with a precise outline are also difficult to print and therefore require highly skilled printers.  The standard of care needed to make the color separations, films and printing screens is extremely high.

The equipment used is state-of-the-art, but is handled by the artisans and technicians with many years of experience.

THE SWAN QUEEN (Gulbe Karaliene)

...As time passed, the swan queen gave birth to a son.  She loved the boy dearly.  One day as she sat in teh palace garden rocking her baby in a silken scarf, she looked up into the sky and saw a flock of swans fly overhead.  She recognized teh father swan who sang out to her:

Zuriu, suriu, savo dukrele be sedencia
Zuriu, zuriu savo suneli be supancia
I see, I see, my daughter with her young son in her arms
Rocking, rocking him gently in silken scarves.
I will throw down my wind.  Fly away with us."

The swan queen's heart was saddened and a tear slid down her cheek.  But she answereed, "Don't givbe me your wing, I will not leave my son to toil and tears".
"Accessories have always been an important part of a wardrobe, adding style and a finishing touch".

The women of Paris, Milan and Rome stand out because of their fashion sense.  Their clothing is not only worn well but is usually set off by an accessory, such as a scarf.  Using a scarf to create a look is the difference between fashion and your own style.  Many Parisian women say their style is nothing more than a gift for accessories and the ability to put on just the right thing to make the look finished.  A scarf is really the finishing touch!
