Dear Student of the Quran,
May peace be upon you, and the blessings of God, and His grace! Thanks to you, the surveys have been tallied and A.L.I. is ready to announce the time, location, and fees for three new Arabic programs!
As you will recall, the "Arabic Language After School" program is designed to teach classical Arabic to students at the fourth grade level, and up. The time for this program has been unanimously set at 6:00-7:00 PM, and classes will meet Monday through Friday, from September 1, 1998, to June 25, 1999.
Our "Arabic Language After Work" program, on the other hand, is designed primarily for working adults and college students who want to learn Arabic. This class will differ slightly from the above-mentioned program, in that class objectives include a much deeper study of the language. Class times have been set to facilitate those who work late: classes will meet Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays from 7:30 to 9:00 PM, commencing on September 2, 1998, and terminating on June 25, 1999.
Both of the above-mentioned classes will be conducted on a first-year Arabic level, and will assume a basic knowledge of the letters, how to connect them, and how to read. A special "Beginning with the Basics" program will begin in August for those who need help with these requisites. Classes will be Monday through Friday, from 5:00 to 6:00 PM, starting August 3 and ending August 28, 1998.
Please note that both the Level 1 Curriculum and A.L.I.'s 1998-1999 Academic Year Calendar are enclosed for your perusal. A.L.I. fees are due on the first of every month, or will be subject to late charges.
