Officers
Roles and Responsibilities
PRESIDENT: Plans
and runs meetings (acts as meeting Chairperson), contacts Toastmaster
prior to meeting, sets club goals for the year; ensures that
officers get necessary training, holds officer meetings.
VP of Education:
Prepares meeting schedules and works with members to address scheduling
concerns; helps members through scheduling to achieve individual goals;
reports to President & fills in as Chairman as
needed. Assist President in achieving Club goals and as
needed.
VP of Public Relations:
Maintains website; prepares & submits regular press releases to
local papers; works to publicize club in other ways (i.e.; cable TV
calendar listings & interviews; advertisements,
festivals/fairs, etc.); photographs important events (i.e.: new member
pinning; dinner meetings, etc.)
VP Membership:
Oversees Mentorship Program-pairing Mentors with Mentees and providing
guidance; greets perspective new members at meetings and makes
follow-up contact with guests; explains club structure, purpose
& dues
Secretary: Keeps
attendance/meeting records; provides President with bi-annual Best
Speaker, Evaluator & Table Topic award info & other
information when needed; contact person for meeting place-submit
necessary forms to church.
Treasurer: Sends
out dues reminders to members and announces dues deadlines at meetings
twice a year. Submits membership dues & paperwork to
TM International by deadline twice/yr. Submits quarterly
treasurer's report annually to President. Collects money for
dinner meetings. Gives oral treasurer's reports as requested
by President.
Sergeant At Arms:
Arrives to each meeting early, readies meeting room; sets up lectern,
banner, flag, guest book and any appropriate files, literature or
paperwork.
