The head is a very important part of a show rabbit. Jersey Wooly heads should be large and well furred.
A 'wool cap' is fur that extends from the base of the ears to between the eyes, this fur stands up and is longer then the rest of the fur on the face.
Side trimmings are the furs that extend down from the cheeks to below the chin.
Because of this square look, Jersey Wooly heads are affectionately called
"Mug Heads"

The side view of this head shows too much of a strait line from nose to base of ears. Ears are very long in proportion to the head. Lacking a wool cap. |
This profile shows the ideal Wooly head. Face is flat, it looks almost like it ran in to a brick wall. Top of the head is flat from a nice wool cap. Note the head looks square. Ears are small and thick Ample side trimmings. |
