Great story! I can hardly wait to get to the pink dolphin site in South America. There have been several beachings in South Florida, however, I never know about it until after the rescue and the dolphin is safe at Seaquarium.

I LOVE your story. It was awesome. I wish that I could help out a dolphin or any aquatic animal in need, but I don't live anywhere near an ocean. In fact, I've never even been to an ocean in all my life (well, I'm only 16, turning 17 on April 22, so it re lly hasn't been a LONG life yet). that was a wonderful story i on behalf of every dolphin friend say thankyou you could have walked away but you did not and that is one less dolphin dead they need friends like you. Thanks for the note to check out your story... it was beautiful. It is wonderful to know there are more caring people out there. I watched a documentary on dolphins this weekend... did you know there are some dolphins which actually feed on land? They howed a schools of wild dolphins that together makes a huge wave that pushes a school of fish onto the sand and then eats them... Another example of how adaptable and intelligent they are. And funny enough they always slide back on their right side... :) My dream is to one day swim with wild dolphins... someday I know I will. Amanda
