![]() Common Name: Leopard's Bane Family: Compositae Introduction: Arnica is mainly indicated in complaints as a result of traumatic conditions especially in injuries from blunt instruments. Facilitates absorption of exuded blood in mechanical injuries. Traumatic affection of muscles. Mechanical injuries with stupor from concussion. Compound fractures and suppurations. Concussion and contusions without laceration of soft parts. Prevents suppuration and septic conditions and promotes absorption. Causation: Complaints which are due to mechanical injuries. Bad effects from mechanical injuries received years back. Generalities: Sore lame bruised feeling all over the body as if beaten.Oversensitiveness of whole body. Heat of upper part and coldness of lower part of body. Mind: Unconsciousness; answers correctly when spoken but soon followed by unconsciousness. Cannot bear touch and pain. Head: Meningitis from trauma like falls and concussion of brain.Hydrocephalus; deathly coldness in forearm of children. Apoplexy. Loss of consciousness. Eyes: Conjunctival and retinal haemorrhages from injuries. Stomach: Belching; Foul eructations like rotten eggs Urine: Retention of urine after labor. Stool:Constipation; Rectum loaded with feaces, difficult to evacuate. Ribbon like stool from enlarged prostate or retroverted uterus. Female:Soreness of parts from labor. Post partum haemorrhages and puerperal complications. Extremities:Fear of being touched by approaching persons especially in gout and rheumatism. Left sided paralysis. Pulse full and strong.
