Flowering Foxglove


Common Name: Foxglove

Family: Scrophulariaceae

Introduction.-- Cardiovascular symptoms predominate.

Generalities.-- Exhaustion and weak. Cyanosis. Dropsy of internal and external parts.

Head.-- Syncope when head is raised to upright position.

Face.-- Death like appearance of the face. Cyanotic or pale face.

Stomach.-- Sinking feeling in the stomach, as if he would die.

Stool.-- Light, chalky or ash colored stools. Stools involuntary.

Urine.-- Urine suppressed.

Male.-- Weakness of genitals after coition. Nightly emissions.

Female.-- Flushes of heat followed by weakness during climacteric. Irregular and intermitting pulse accompanying the complaints. Complaints worse by motion.

Respiratory.--Respiration deep, difficult and irregular. Chest so weak that he cannot speak.

Cardiovascular.--Sensation as if heart would stop beating if moved. Full, slow, weak and irregular pulse.Pulse intermitting every third, fifth or seventh beat. Heart weak. Dropsy with heart troubles. Distended veins of tongue, lids, ears and lips.

Skin.-- Cyanosis; skin blue.

Extremities.-- Fingers of extremities go to sleep frequently.

Aggravation.-- When sitting erect; on motion.

Relationship.-- Antidotes: Cinchona antidotes action of Digitalis.
