This is the same Robert Schoch who provided the scientific basis for the redating of the Sphinx erosion. Although his date is much more acceptable than that of John Anthony West, it is still unacceptable to conventional scholars. The problem I've had right along with West 's redating of the Sphinx is that he uses uniformitarian assumptions to fix the date when the water erosion could have occurred, then proclaims that the Sphinx must really be from the ten thousand years ago. There is no reason why the erosion could not have taken place prior to the construction of the pyramids and the Sphinx (the "repairs" are mere construction and patches, often dating to Late Kingdom times) and still date from ten thousand years ago. Furthermore, there is no reason why the date for the last rainy climate in the area need be that long ago.
In this book he takes on the evidence for catastrophic changes in historical times. It could go into the Catastrophism books page, or the Velikovsky books page along with the new entry there, but it is most likely to be of interest to those who read Hancock, Bauval, and West.
Graham Hancock, Robert Bauval, and John Anthony West are three of the best known authors on the subject of ancient Egypt, even though their names are mud in Egyptological circles. It is fair to say that all three were inspired by Schwaller De Lubicz.

Alternative History (Alternative Audio Series)
by Graham Hancock and Zecharia Sitchin and Robert Bauval, read by Nick Ullett
This author has enjoyed a high level of popularity among occult and new age readers and consequently has produced a great number of titles over the past twenty years or so. The basic premise behind his works is that an extraterrestrial species created the human race from the genetic manipulation of indigenous species to perform menial labor. I've never read very far into any of these.
