Featherwork

SIXTEEN pieces of Featherwork. Mainly hat decorations and pins. They can be worn with casual or dressy clothes.
There ae a few with barette clips that can be worn as pins...you can possibly clip them to a necklace cord as a medallion. ALL PIECES are backed with suede and felt. There is one large size butterfly.
These are NOT chicken feathers or Tandy-style "craft-feathers". These are not made from a KIT. The feathers I use are taken from the ACTUAL Pheasant PELTS and hand picked out one at a time.They have been created with Ringneck, Golden, Venery and Lady Amherst Pheasant feathers. There is one in natural peacock plummage. NONE of the feathers are dyed or altered except to trim the "down" part off to create the design. The glue used is high quality...I DO NOT USE RUBBER CEMENT.
If they become "ruffled", feathers can be waved over a pot of gently steaming water for a moment and then "petted" or preened back into shape just like the birds do themselves, back to their former smoothness. These pieces retail for about $8.00 each. Will accept $40.00 for all pieces...I don't think I will be making any more of these...and they DO last...I have one that I have had for over ten years and it still looks wonderful...as with the amulet purses...no single piece sales and no consignment, sorry!
