From the album Last Supper
Lyrics by: Dave Mountain

It was just another night, just another band
Doorman was a dragon; everything so well in hand.
Seven trumpets sounded and no one seemed to care.
And when the stranger entered we were all quite unaware.
The waitress wanted to ball him, "Something about his eyes."
Drunken Jim sat quiet, the doorman poked at his cold fries.
Sin, she poured another beer, dark comprehended light
And a mighty rumbling filled the room as the clock ticked off midnight.
Hell's a bar at closing when you're all alone.
And heaven is a stage when the song begins to grow.
Limbo rolls like morphine, take the clouds into your mind
And purgatory has just expired; the rest is killing time.
Then all the candles flickered, a mighty wind rose up
Pool ball left the table, Stranger stared into his cup.
Something kicked like feedback, glass began to break.
Waitress looked at the Stranger, said, "I don't how much I can take."
"When the Sevens begin to crap out, blood's on tap, like wine
Will your heart be solid? Will your love be mine?
Or will the fire take you out for a good long swim
As you find somebody else, someone who looks like Him?"
No one saw the Stranger leave, not even the waitress bold
And no one cared about the band or the stories that were told.
And no one saw the blood-red moon, the serpents and fire-rain.
No one sat in Judgment, we all were fit to blame.
