Who are these guys? (Mini-bios of the band members.)

Dave Mountain TETY's frontman; in past incarnations, he's been in the Bar Flies, Electric Fish and done the solo thing. A powerful and challenging songwriter in the Elvis Costello / Richard Thompson / Bob Mould archetype, he's a short little megalomaniac with a distinctive (that is, nasal midwest twang, but effective) voice; Dave's lyrics have been acclaimed as some of the best in the region. If you've ever seen Dave Sim's comic book Cerebus, you are familiar with our frontman: he comes scarily close to being the title character. (This Is Not Healthy.) Despite all of this, we put up with his existence, his neurotic dog and all of his myriad psychoses, not the least of which is writing third-person bios about himself. Tom Barrett is TETY's bassist and resident sound doctor: we rely on him beyond the point of all endurance to help us solve tech problems. He's been on board TETY for Four years now, bridging the gap between old and new incarnations of the band with good humor and power groves. In his life before TETY, Tom played lead, rhythm and bass guitar for a number of Philly area folks, with the most prominent group being Mastermind (now Frost Bite) and Faithful Servant. His influences range from Chris Squire to Steve Harris to John Entwistle to Jason Newsted to Sting, and if you collect strange and wonderful gear, you should definitely make his acquaintance. Nick Markellos is TETY's Guitarist. He has been on board for two years now, and has merged unique musical textures with "balls to the wall" power. Nick has been influenced by 70's classic rock (esp Jimmy Page) and heavier modern rock.Playing lead guitar for TETY has been roughly akin to playing drums for Spinal Tap (at last count, we've had 10), but Nick Markellos seems to have staying power. A devotee of Jimmy Page, Nick has managed to be in the band for over a year without being committed(very close to it), jailed, dismissed or shot (he moves quickly )..
