I really liked your record -- it's excellent. (And I don't normally like music that heavy that much.) * Bob Guccione Jr., Publisher, Spin Magazine
There's no lack of talent on Last Supper by Philadelphia's They Eat Their Young, a meaty alterna-rock extravaganza. Fast and furious, they've achieved a unique sound blending tempos and styles for that in-your-face appeal. Faves are Burial Mirror, which for some obscure reason, makes me think of Lords of the New Church, and the tempered After The Change. They Eat Their Young has a definite foot in thedoor. -- By Miss Billy Dare, Musician's Trade Jounral, Nashua NH
Full production and arrangements highlight this modern rock sounding band. Overall, it's high energy stuff that doesn't easily invite comparisons. Very interesting mix. * Mark Olson, Cake Magazine
"MOTH TO YOUR FLAME Is a cool Fuckin' Song. You Should Do A Full Album Of That Type Of Stuff"- BOBBY STEELE-MISFITS/UNDEAD-Times Square THE MISFITS/UNDEAD.
If you're into that Richard Thompson/R.E.M./Stan Ridgeway vibe, this one's for you -- especially "No Reply", which has got 'hit' written all over it. * a.d. amorosi, Phila. City Paper
Guttural and emotional, an intense blend of punk fury, alternative sensibilities and hard rock solos. * Kim Crawford, Rockpile
If a fan of Joe Jackson or Graham Parker had a brief but educational fascination with heavy metal, got over it, and then joined a band, it might sound like this. * Christopher Hess, Austin Chronicle
Solid, well-produced rock and roll, reminescent of foursquare bar bands of yesteryear like the Iron City House Rockers. Smarter, better-written, and more abitious than typical frat-rock fodder, although the band's gestalt is definitely more heartland than Avenue A. * Jim Testa, Jersey Beat
A mature band that has more than paid their dues. Dave Mountain's vocals have long been a characteristic trademark of the band, but with this album the music strays into the spotlight. Everything gels on tracks like "No Reply." * Songwriters Monthly
There's something here beyond a good band and songs. TETY is driven; they make you want to listen more closely. * Erin Riley, Phila. NARAS Chapter Director
They've got songs: I can think of no greater compliment. * Brian Felsen, Phila. Music Conference Executive Director
More guts in his lyrics than anyone else out there. * David Pierson, regional instrumental guitarist
They keep people entertained, and they keep them listening. * Cindy Kligerman, booking agent, Doc Watson's Pub
'No Reply' is a genuinally commercial song. * Jim Fouratt, ex-Spin Magazine, now a Vice-President for Mercury Records Great people, and one of the real highlights of the Walk. * Nan Latona, Philadelphia AIDSWalk entertainment Coordinator Any comments, questions, praise, and so forth about the music?
