I live in the United States where I was born in Little Rock, AR. When I was about two years old, my family moved to St. Louis, MO and when I was age seven we moved back to Little Rock. I've lived in this city ever since.
I started playing guitar when I was 16. I currently play guitar mainly as a hobby, but maybe someday I'll get the opportunity and time to play professionally. I have a small recording studio setup in my backyard in a tiny building that I converted from a tool shed. The pics below show what the outside and inside look like. This jamhut allows me to record some of my sessions in privacy. |

I like just about every type of music that has an aggressive guitar part in it. Even some that aren't guitar anthems. I love blues, classic rock, heavy metal, classical and more. My influences could fill this page but, just to name some of my biggest.......
I would say George Lynch (Dokken, Lynch Mob) is probably the reason I picked up a guitar. I love Vinnie Moore (guitar virtuoso), Jake E. Lee (Ozzy, Badlands) and Warren DeMartini (Ratt). I still get chills when I hear some of Stevie Ray Vaughan's recordings too. Vaughan would flow like river when he performed! I also like Lenny Kravitz and many, many rockers from the 70s. The Eagles, Boston, Ted Nugent, Kansas, Bad Company, Styx etc. Led Zeppelin are a huge fave for me! I liked the beginnings of alternative, namely Mother Love Bone (these Seattle rockers started the movement in my opinion), Pearl Jam, Alice In Chains, Sound Garden and a few more but, I didn't like what alternative became by the time it was mainstream. It was kind of hard to call it "alternative" when it was mainstream anyway. The two words "mainstream" and "alternative" are kind of contradictory. I greatly appreciate all that the aforementioned have given to the art of music............. |

Other things I like?? Hmmm? Lets see..... Well, as if it isn't obvious from the theme of my webpage, I love tequila and Margaritas. Straight from the bottle, shots, frozen Margaritas, Margaritas on the rocks you name it! If it involves quality tequila I probably like it! I prefer tequila that has been aged at least a little (Reposado), but when money allows, the extra aged (Anejo) tequila rules!! Extra aged Anejo is for straight shots only and is not meant to be watered down in cocktails... Crown Royal Reserve is my new favorite!!
I'm also a huge fan of electronic gadgetry.... I am bigtime into computers and computer upgrading. I have police scanners, digital cameras, camcorders etc. I was way into collecting CDs for awhile until my collection got to about 1200 and now I'm a little sick of it, plus today's music kinda sucks anyway so there aren't many new CDs that interest me enough to purchase. Sixties Camaros are another major interest for me. I spend alot of time (and money) on my 1967 Camaro SS and I plan to get a 69 Camaro soon. You can't ever have to many muscle cars. My latest and greatest is a Dolby Digital home theater system. Consisting of a Sony Home Theater, 5 channel Dolby Digital Receiver (with fiber optic inputs and cables), a Sony 200 Disc Mega CD changer and a (this one is my fave) Sony 300 Disc DVD Changer (with fiber optic outputs). For speaks I use a Bose Acousticmass system which includes a front left satellite speaker, a center channel satellite speaker (although I use a Klipsch center speaker in place of the center Bose satellite speaker), a front right satellite speaker, two rear satellite speakers and an acoustic bass module. Since the passive Bose acoustic bass modules are kinda weak in my opinion I have a powered Klipsch subwoofer to handle all the deep bass. That makes the movies really thunderous!! Having the 300 Disc DVD Changer has converted me into an avid DVD Movie collector and I'm already up to about 350 DVDs. What a money hole this has become! Oh well, I'm a movie freak! |

I'm also into video games a bit. I have many game machine consoles including a Super Nintendo, Sega Genesis, Sega Game Gear, Nintendo 64, Sega DreamCast, Nintendo Game Cube, Microsoft XBox, Sony Playstation 2 and a Nintendo Gameboy Advance SP. The Xbox whoops them all on graphics and performance but the PS2 is a nice machine as well. I will always love my beloved Sega Dreamcast (certainly one of the best machines ever) not to mention they were the first to take the machine onto the net.
Dont believe that I am a video game fanatic? Check out my bedside table in the pic below (shown is a PS2, GameCube and Xbox - the current machines) |
