Poetry By DJ Weber

At Night

I close my eyes and drift off to sleep;
it is the thought of you in mind I keep.
The cool night brushes across the trees;
and moonlight dances through there leaves.
A million stars shine down this night;
in warm embrace I hold you tight.
The crickets chirp in rythmic way;
chanting love songs till the break of day.
As evening nears with venus bright;
I lie down to rest, turn out the light.
I close my eyes drift off to sleep;
it is the thought of you in mind I keep.

The Staircase Window

In the staircase window on the eastward side,
I often sit when I feel tried.
I stare into the courtyard and I embrace,
The bright warm sunlight on my face.
I've come hear often day to day,
To just let my thoughts drift astray.
A wisp of wind blows through my hair,
Oh, the fragrance of the morning air.
Wildflowers near the courtyard wall,
Spring to life as dew drops fall.
Tender moments are times like these,
So precious each one, puts my mind at ease.
Here mind and thoughts run astride,
In the staircase window on the eastward side.

A Diamond

As I stroll through the garden of flowers,
How the fragrances beckon me.
The golden sun now dances on a sky of deep blue sea.
When I find myself of daybreak,
with a stillness in thee air.
Oh serene is the time of morning,
before the world begins to care.
As I picked a rose and held it high,
To the sun come up anew.
There was a diamond in the dew drop,
On the rose I picked for you.
