"Obese or not Obese, that is the problem"
...... or
"Nightmare
on Elbow Street"
Days 3 & 4
Not much to do
over these two days. I was able to catch up on some ¨office¨ work and do a
little shopping for Monica. I walked around town enjoying the beautiful (and
unusual) late Summer weather, stopping here and there for a coffee or a glass of
wine and, as I look back, I really enjoyed this time and am very thankful for
it.
I work hard
and, though it´s sometimes difficult for me to know what to do with myself on
days off, I do try to make the most of the privilege of being in nice places.
Friday
afternoon I met my old friend Morten Jensen who, for years was ¨the man¨ at
Universal Music in Norway and over those years became a good friend.
He took me to
a beautiful restaurant by a marina and we walked for a while as he pointed out
some of the local beauty spots. Considering we were only about 15 minutes from
the hustle and bustle of downtown Oslo, this really was a beautiful and peaceful
place.
We had a long
and lazy lunch and laid the groundwork for some possible colaboration when the
new CD comes out… we shall see!
So I packed my
bags and had to do it rather differently because tomorrow we are flying to Bodo
in the North- West of Norway and I don´t need my big case. Generally, I am not
very good at packing light but now I had to learn! Worst of all I had to leave
my tea kettle etc. behind!
When I got
hungry I walked again and this time I found an Indian Restaurant and ordered a
lamb tika masala to go.
Ate it in my
room with a couple of glasses of Merlot and, after chatting with my adorable
wife, went to bed very early.
Tomorrow
will be a long day!
