130,000 MILES

1:41 AM. My car is outside, in the parking lot, with exactly 130,000 miles.

130,000 hard worked and well travelled miles.

Houghton. Madison. Duluth. St. Cloud. Fairmont. Owatonna. St. Croix Falls. Ashland. Ironwood. Hayward. Gooseberry Falls. Two Harbors. St. Peter. Mankato. Destinations and towns passed through. Landmarks all over a three-state map.

I don't remember the money I've had in my pocket over the course of my life. I don't remember what they tried teaching me in any class. I don't remember the jobs I've worked.

All I remember is the friends. The conversations, the smoke and the adventures. Now, you tell me what's important...
