Originally they were spirits whose nature was between the human and the divine. After the Christianity all the  heathenish gods were called with this name.
The Demons are composed by a big number of creatures ordered by the Devil. There are 68 Demon princes that command other legions of  inferior demons.

Also known as Lucifer or Satan, the Evil, and with many other names.He`s the fallen angel, faulty of superciliousness vs. God. He`s aim `s to tempt the humans to evil ways diverting them from good.
He`s the protagonist of the continuos fight between
the humans and the divinity, fight that will last until the last day of history, at this moment the Devil will be condemned to the eternal fire with his followers.
The Devil can too possess a human making his life
infernal, he can speak every language.
