"Dog On
A Log" records was spawned in
1998 (though the idea had been lingering in their minds for some time by the creative
genius of Ryan Carroll and Andy Hood, two small town musicians
who's main ambition is writing and recording music. Theses two
started out as good freinds and then became bandmates in"corndog".
After they started "corndog" they began to realize that the
musical revolution, and the talent that was causing this revol
ution, was right under their noses and in their own backyards.
Now they are hoping to gain national attention for "HOME-GROWN"
Southern Maryland bands.
Another mission of this record company is to get the public
into their own local music scene and show the world that the best
bands out there aren't always the biggest ones. They also want
people to open their eyes to other types of music and that is why
they will "sign" all kinds of bands from punk to metal to rap to
techno.
One last thing unique to "Dog On A Log" is there "NO
SIGN"
policy. They offer bands the chance to play shows and record demos
with them without the hassle of record contracts and all of the
other corperate bullshit.
