Fatigue
(Anderson)

It's amazing how much changes in the scope of a year
Yet you still stand alone in my mind
The only one to touch me, the very most dear
Was I who you expected to find?

Well, I remember all those days you made a bearable while
But did you ever know me at all?
Hiding conversations between your sweet smile
Weighing every word you let fall

Why won't you grow?
Where did we go?
It's like you had died inside the clutches of fatigue

It's bewildering, this distance that has grown inbetween
Where once our days and nights were the same
Promises and plans have died while still words
And have only left a song with your name

Well, it's unfortunate that hopes don't have a life of their own
Deciding is the key to my smile
Painful indecisions have left me alone
Waiting for a soft-spoken while

What can I show?
Where did we go?
It's like you had died inside the clutches of fatigue
