Welcome to the new(ish) page!
| As you can tell (if you'e visited before), this page is still stuck in the middle of a major renovation. Although the look is different, the contents still represent my answer to the question: "Can an amateur armed only with a cassette recorder and some basic music equipment make any songs worth listening to?" Obviously, if I didn't think so, I wouldn't have spent so many hours hunched over a cheap microphone in my back bedroom. But I invite you to sample my wares and decide for yourself. |

You can now find an extensive collection of my home recordings in MP3 format at www.mp3.com/douganderson. You can download and listen to songs for free, peruse the lyrics, and even purchase an inexpensive CD (for around 6 bucks) for your offline listening pleasure.
I've packed as many songs as I was able onto each of the two albums: Low Fidelity contains 18 songs written and recorded between 1989 and 1991; the 15 tracks on Asides, Besides, and Seasides were recorded between 1991 and 1996. The production value and instrumentation gets better as time goes on, but I've been told that the earlier songs, though more raw, also pack more emotion. |
