Light of Lies
(Anderson)

The light of lies shines backwards
Casting shadows on the past
Making fools of memories
And mocking words hat claimed to last forever, but died in a year
They sit still on paper while love disappears

You told me that you loved me
Did you ever think to try?
Words are a dime a dozen, girl,
And I'm not so cheap a guy
That you can lie, and hope to get by

The light of lies shines backwards
Casting shadows on the past
Making fools of memories
And mocking words hat claimed to last forever, but died in a year
They sit still on paper while love disappears
