Phantom Engineer, Phantom engineer (Paperhouse) CD
It's David Keenan of the Telstar Ponies with various improv mates (see
the Bill Wells vs. Future Pilot AKA review elsewhere) and guests such
as Japan's Acid Mothers Temple Soul Collective and---cannily---Keith
Cameron and Claire Sturgess. Look out for airplay and good
reviews...
The music is a combination of organic, spacious improvisation and
noise; of studio manipulation, drone, tone and flange and melodious
strings or trumpet; of free jazz expressionism and avant
(disre)gard. Not one to put on at your little sister's 16th birthday
party, but certainly one to listen to late at night.
