After the drab draw with Aston Villa, doubts about Gerard Houllier's wisdom lingered and visitors to this side gave his Red Revolution a no confidence vote. A subsequent loss to Southampton only worsened the damage. When fortunes turned for the better, Liverpool chalked up wins over Chelsea and Sunderland.
