STING: SAME PERSON DIFFERENT GUY

April 2, 1996 - Associated Press

By Margie Szaroleta

(NEW YORK)--Sting says he doesn't want to be a loud in-your-face rock-and-roller anymore. He tells "Live" magazine that he's taking a "different strategy" with his new album, "Mercury Falling", and that's true in the way he lives his life. Sting says he's "much more interested in seducing people that corrupting them or screaming at them and giving them a headache." He says he's already done enough of that and says "I don't want to be the man I was when I was 25." Sting also denies rumors of a Police reunion. He says the band could barely get along long enough to play a few songs at his own wedding.
