(LOS ANGELES)--Just because you see Sting in the movies every now and then doesn't mean he's a movie star. Sting says he's not an actor -- he's just a musician who acts for fun. He doesn't like acting enough for it to be his job, but he does enjoy playing dark characters. He says those parts are " totally opposite" to what he's like in real life -- he's really a "very nice person." Sting plays a devious butler in the film "Gentlemen Don't Eat Poets," which is in limited release.

He says he can't believe people get payed to "smooch with someone for half a day." Sting says it's "not unpleasant work." Sting plays a butler in the movie. It's in limited release.
