THE POLICE: REUNION IN THE WORKS?

(LOS ANGELES)--The Police could be getting back together. Drummer Stewart Copeland tells "The Hollywood Reporter" when the band broke up 13 years ago, he wanted it to be "a temporary hiatus." The problem was that all the band members got involved in other projects and never got things going. Copeland says he "wouldn't rule out a reunion." Two Police-related projects are currently in the works. One is a regae tribute album called "Reggatta Mondatta" that features covers of 12 Police songs, with Sting playing and singing on two tracks. That's due out July 29th. The other project is called "Police Academy" and features Strontium 90, a pre-Police band featuring Sting, Copeland and Andy Summers, also set for a July 29th release.
