I'm bursting right now! - I went and saw Andy Summers last night...
Andy rocked! He had one performance at 9:00 and another at 11:00, but I had to get home and left at 11:00, so I only saw the first show. He played some really cool stuff - no Police; although he might have taken a request if I had yelled it out, I felt like hearing what he wanted to play, and it would have rude, too. In between shows, I got to talk to him for about a tiny bit - not long. It doesn't sound like he's touring around the US, but I'm not sure - he said he'll be back in LA around late June or something. I couldn't resist talking about Police reunion; I said "The word around town is that you guys are doing a reunion soon." He replied "I haven't heard that, but I'm praying..." The performance was cool - I think my favorite piece was this blues-type one called "Butt cheek." The drummer and bass player were really good, as was, of course, Andy.
