From: AslanAusTX@aol.com
For those of you into keeping track of all bootlegs, here's the info on one I picked up today at my favorite import/boot cd store. It's called The Work of Heaven and it is on a label called Tube (The Soundboard Line). It's TUCD 011. Very good cover art and photos.
It contains the following tracks recorded at Rock in Park, Muchen (Munich), Summer 1996:
if you love somebody...
every little thing...
i was brought...
let your soul...
seven days
mad about you
synchronicity II
roxanne
bring on the night/when the world...
demolition man
And the following tracks live at Fleadh Festival, Finbury Park, 1996:
the hounds of winter
i hung my head
every breath you take
lithium sunset (mislabeled as "mercury falling")
Pretty good recording though there is brief dropout on the master tape in a few songs.
Thanks,
Derek
Erwin Kempen: Cover work is better than the average boots, full colour photo's taken from sevaral magazines.

Erwin,
Can I add to your list? It is not police/sting per se, but Vinnie Colaiuta is on Warren Cuccurullo's CD _Thanks to Frank_. We will have a website soon, probably www.rifraff.com where they can purchase the CD if anyone wishes.
Thank you!
A remarkable ad in this weeks Goldmine:
"Sting & The Police Revealed", behind the facade, juicy, funny, sexy, schocking, personal tell- all book by Andy Summers' good little girlfriend, 80% on Sting, work in progress book, uncensored. (Final book in store by 1998). 225 pages, $20.00.
Seems that somebody is cashing in on Stings success.

KTS 623 STING - Finsbury Park
Jeremy
Erwin Kempen : Just saw an ad of KTS, the advertise the show as 70 minutes. This could mean that they have a source in UK who delivered them a soundboard tape cause normally KTS cd's have a perfect sound quality.

Going back in time a little, but do you have any details such as dates and venues of the early Police tours in Holland during their time as a support band for Wayne County etc.. These seem hard to find, but if anyone knows its likely to be a keen Dutch Police fan such as yourself.
Cheers

Stingchronicity
Erwin Kempen: Sure I can help you with this info (Rogier thanks ofcourse)
The correct dates for the Holland tour are:
March 22 1977 Nijmegen "Dioganes"
March 23 1977 Rotterdam "Exit"
March 25 1977 Amsterdam "Paradiso"
March 26 1977 Eindhoven "Effenaar"
March 27 1977 Maasbree "Mafcentrum"
After that they went on to Paris to do some gigs overthere. Nice to hear Sting mentioning the Paradiso gig on the 2nd night tape of the Paradiso 96 Mercury Falling tour. You all think he will have a perfect memory of all this kind of information. Well the Archivemeister himself told him a few hours before the gig that he performed there in 1977 as a support act for Wayne County and the Electric Chairs.

Maybe I'm a little drunk at present, but I just wanted to say thanks for all the Freaks info you supply constantly!
Ross
Erwin Kempen : Hope you still like it after this ! Thanks Ross
Thats it for this months issue, feel free to sent in you questions or reactions for next issue. Hopefully we'll have an exclusive backstage report from the final Mercury Falling dates in New York.
