A while ago, Martin Nickel started something on his web site ("Fields Of Gold") that I thought was ingenious. He compiled concert reviews written by people who attended the concerts and then he put them on the internet, so that other people could share in the concert experience. The reviews were originally posted on at least on one of the following sites: The Police mailing list, The Police newsgroup or the Sting newsgroup. Unfortunately, Martin could not continue to compile the reviews and post them on his web site. And that we where this project comes in, I hope to pick up where Martin left off. Martin, your "Fields Of Gold" web site is missed; I hope this fills part of the hole that you left when you no longer could continue with "Fields Of Gold." The following statement is from Martin's review page (I thought I would add it, just to give you an idea of where he was coming from):
"These reviews are very personal views of the concerts and should give you some impressions what happened on the current tour. They are not complete or perfect. So please don't flame the reviewers or me for our opinions. But feel free to submit your own personal reviews, especially for the concerts where reviews are still missing. Feel free to download them, but I don't want any commercial re-use of this material!" |
If you have a review, please send it to me and I will try to put it up on this page in a timely manner. Just be patient. Thanks.
If your local newspaper reviews a show please send Dave & Wendy (of Stingchronicity) a copy of the review so that they can add it to their site. |

I did not mean to offend anyone, I just assumed (which is my mistake) that since you wrote it to begin with, you would not mind sharing it with the world. I'm sorry if I have upset anyone. It was not my intention. Please take a few minutes and think back to the show(s) you have seen and take a look at your concert review(s). Make sure it is all right for the world to see.
