Tube Studio - Newcastle, England [The Tube British television appearance]

Sting also did some live stuff for the Tube on his DOTBT tour. When he was back in Newcastle at the City Hall they broadcast (live this time) the reheasals for the show that evening the 10th of Jan 86 (we were lucky as we had tickets for the concert and the Tube). The small set he did was CMG, FAYH, Russians, IYLSSTF, DOTBT, & Demo M. The concert that evening had to be cancelled due to a small fire which took out the main power supply and the only power came from an emergancy generator. Sting did not want to disappoint all the fans so he came out with the band Kenny on tambourine and Branford on clarinet and with the rest as backing singers. They performed a couple of numbers, from memory I think it was Roxanne and Message (might have been another).
