Just a short review from the Bielefeld concert. Sting was in a very good mood, but his voice was hoarse. During "Mad About You" we thought he would not get it until the end. But the audience was singing a lot and very loud and helped him out as he has requested. Before "Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic" Sting asked the audience to sing instead of him. He said in german "Meine Stimme ist krank. Ihr müsst für mich singen ..." ("My voice is ill. You have to sing instead of me"). And you can imagine, we did that, my voice still isn't totally restored today...
Then he surpised us all with a great acoustic version of Roxanne, which later on turned into the the full instrumented version.
Before "Message In A Bottle" some people threw cough sweets on stage and Sting picked them up, better I say he collected all the packages, and read in german "Hustenbonbons! Vielen Dank!". Then he put 2 of them in his mouth and gave us a great version of "Message". He had much fun with that and really appreciated the heavy support from the audience... I wonder how he could sing "Message" with two cough sweets in his mouth but he could and it even sounded louder and more powerful as the night before in Cologne.
Sting was smiling a lot, perhaps he was happy that the audience could sing not only the chorus but also the verses of his songs.
Thanks for coming, thanks for the cough sweets, God bless you, Goodbye.
As far as I remember the setlist was the same as the one posted from Cologne.
