HI everyone! I'm writing to the list because I'm still SO excited about this past weekend. My Fiance, Ryan (he's on th e list too) surprised me with a trip to see my first Sting concert. When I say surprised, I don't mean that he said, "here look what I got. Tickets for the Sting concert in NJ." NO. I did not know what we were doing until; I stepped into the arena. We go to school at UCONN and he told me he had planned something secret for the weekend that would blow me away. He was right! I started jumping up and down and I lost my ability for intelligent speech I was so overwhelmed. The girls sitting next to us must have thought I was a total bubble-head, since I was so mesmerized by the whole experience. As I said, this was my first Sting concert so I didn't have a problem with the set list being the same as earlier. I was a little surprised that he played Syn II. I really love the line, "Have to shout above the din of our rice crispies," though, so I didn't mind. I was a little disappointed that David Sancious didn't play the cool piano part in ELTSDIM. But I can understand him wanting to do his own thing. I think KOP sounded great. We were kind of far away, but it didn't matter. I even got a glimpse of him through binoculars the girl in front of me had. I know he does not do songs from TSC anymore, but I sitill wish he would do Mad About You. I have talked to many people who say it's their favorite (me included.) This was one of the best Police/Sting moments for me (and obviously the most recent). Just wanted to share that story with you all.
