I've just come back from Granada where I saw Sting live. The day was really great, no only for the show but because we met Sting and the band and we took photos with them. The show was fantastic, much better than the one that I attended in Glasgow. This time the song that I most liked was Roxanne (Manu was really great with the drums in the song). The crowd got really crazy from the beginning and I couldn't hear Sting in the first moments of Roxanne because the people was singing louder than him. As I told before, the show wasn't the best thing in the day because we met Sting and his band. It was the first time I met Sting and it was a moment I won't forget. I'll do a detailed review of this later but I'll tell you this briefly. We imagined what hotel Sting could be and we had very luck because he was there but he was having lunch in a restaurant, so we (we were 4 people) stayed at the door of the hotel waiting for his arrival. Then, when we had been waiting for more than an hour, Dominic Miller appeared in the hotel and we took some photos with him (great guy Dominic!!!). Ten minutes later Jason Rebello and Kipper appeared too. Kipper had still his leg in plaster. We were talking to Kipper and he told us that Sting was going to pick him up to see Garcia Lorca's (one of the most famous poets in Spain's History) house-museum. And then Sting arrived in a beautiful and black Mercedes. He opened the window of the car and he signed one of the photos of my friend Ricardo (he had taken a photo with Sting in Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao five days before) and he signed my BND single. I was the happiest man in the world that moment!!!
Then Sting left the hotel in the car and we started to look for the house-museum.
Fifteen minutes later we arrived to the house and we saw the Mercedes parked outside. There were some journalists and TV cameras and we waited. Sting went out of the house and posed for the cameras. We took some great photos of him. Then I asked if he would mind to take a photo with me and he said "Not at all". So I had a photo with Sting. But the funniest thing hadn't happened yet. I was there with my friends Ricardo (a huge fan of Sting) and Juan and with my girlfriend Viqui (also a great fan of Sting). Viqui is very shy and she didn't want to take a photo with Sting; she was too impressed with him. But I knew that she couldn't lose that chance so when Sting went back to the car I stopped in front of him with my camera in my hands and I told him: "Sting, just a minute please." I pointed to my girlfriend and I said "she wants a photo with you but she's too shy" and then I was petrified because Sting took my camera and went to my girlfriend, put his arm above her shoulders and did an autophoto. It was the funniest moment of the day!!! And he earned all my respect , because I suppose that other rock stars wouldn't have done a thing like this.
As I told before I'll do a detailed review of this.
